A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT to require the orange county board of education to pay the tuition of orange county residents attending the alamance county schools and appropriating funds to cover the costs for the 2008‑2009 fiscal year.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. The Orange County Board of Education shall pay the tuition, if any, of any resident of Orange County who attends a public school in the Alamance‑Burlington School System.
SECTION 2. There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Public Instruction the sum of forty‑one thousand five hundred fifty dollars ($41,550) for the 2008‑2009 fiscal year to cover the tuition of any resident of Orange County who attends a public school in the Alamance‑Burlington School System.
SECTION 3. This act becomes effective July 1, 2008.
